Andrea Moon
Biography

I was born and raised in Northern Ohio. I developed a love for clay as a studio potter for a production company, Packer Creek Pottery, Genoa, Ohio. I continued my clay studies at Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, Ohio and completed a Master of Fine Arts in Ceramics and Sculpture at Texas Tech University, Lubbock, Texas. In addition I studied ceramics at the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, Illinois and the University of South Carolina, Columbia, South Carolina.

I have taught at various institutions and organizations most recently at Texas A&M International University, Laredo, Texas as a Visiting Assistant Professor in Art. In April 2010 I was accepted to Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts, Gatlinburg, Tennessee as an Artist In Residence for 12 months. I will be developing a new body of artwork, teaching clay courses, and working within the non-profit campus and the art gallery.
